Built in 1754 for the Duke of Argyll, the hotel retains much of its original charm whilst offering modern day comforts. Situated in the heart of Inveraray, at the Gateway to the Highlands, the hotel makes an ideal base for visitors to the area. Each of the hotel's 36 well appointed bedrooms are equipped with television, telephone, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Dining is available in both the Argyll Bar and the conservatory restaurant, which serves a fine selection of local dishes from an extensive a la carte menu.

Scottish dance lessons kick off the day. Inveraray & District Pipeband begin a truly Scottish Evening, a Fabulous Gala Buffet( dress code -Black Tie & Ballgown ) followed by The Sound of Islay Ceilidh Band.

Friday 01 January
Breakfast. An outdoor activity with a difference followed by our fabulous gourmet Meal.

Thursday 31 December
The day starts with a full Scottish breakfast, after which the day is yours to enjoy at leisure. If you are staying within the hotel, afternoon tea will be served. Or enjoy the spa and book some treatments with our therapist. Enjoy a Gala Dinner with a mixture of Scottish and modern entertainment. Traditional piper and Highland dancers will compliment the Hogmanay festivities. After wrapping up warm join in the Oban town festive party; outside performers, fireworks and a magical experience in the heart of Oban to bring in the New Year. Return to the hotel for a true Scottish first footers experience. Scottish New Year traditional cuisine of oatcakes and stovies to warm you up, dance until the wee hours of the morning and celebrate 2010 with your friends and family

Welcome in 2010 with a leisurely Brunch served until 1.00pm, relax in the conservatory with stunning views over the water to Kerrara. Alternatively, take the opportunity to be pampered in the spa (book in advance) or outside hot tub. A light Afternoon Tea will be served in preparation for the chefs’ grand hot and cold Buffet where you will be entertained in true Scottish style

New Years Breaks in PERTHSHIRE

 

For over 400 years this small cosy coaching inn just outside St Andrews has been offering great hospitality. These days that hospitality has been brought right up to date with all bedrooms been refurbished in a modern light fashion. The lounge offers thick leather sofas, leather chairs, open log fires (winter) what more could you want from this area - maybe some cocktails and great beers. We also stock a range of Orkney Ales served in pewter tankards. The restaurant has attracted many awards for its food and wine list. 2 rosettes for the last 12 years from the AA. This year we have been awarded the Gold award for customer service by Visit Scotland and have also won the prestigious best UK award for best small music venue 2009.

Arrive at at the Inn to Mulled Wine, bars open! We have laid on plates of savouries and sweeties to entice all palates, so just indulge . Meet up with old friends or meet some new ones. Book a time for Dinner, we will take you to your room so you can get settled. Dinner is from our a la carte menu (allocation of £30.0 per person)

Thursday 31 December
Wake up to a full Scottish Breakfast, the rest of the day is yours . We will suggest some great walks or car trips for the day whilst we prepare the Inn for the party. The party starts at 6.30pm with canapés and lots of bubbly! We then take you through to Dinner, a fabulous 7 courses await you. Dancing starts at 9.00pm and goes on to 1am when we serve "stovies" (famous Scottish dish)

Friday 01 January
On the 1st we don't do breakfast, instead we have an American style Brunch from 8.00am to 2.00pm. This features Nick's famous Bloody Mary fix for hangovers!. For those keen enough we have also arranged a treasure hunt in St Andrews. (no Cars) In the evening we serve a light Buffet that will run from 6.00pm to 8.30pm -- Happy Hogmanay!

New Years Breaks in CENTRAL SCOTLAND

 

The Winnock Hotel surrounds the pretty village green in Drymen, on the east side of Loch Lomond. Brunch and leisurely morning. Afternoon Tea between 2 and 4 pm. Pre-dinner drinks reception before New Years Day spectacular. Finest of Scottish foods on our Buffet and then after dinner dancing to the sounds of our tribute band.

Saturday 02 January
